This course will prepare the SAFTD Instructor to advance to Master Instructor. (Instructor trainer)
You must already be an SAFTD Instructor and meet the requirements to attend this class. Contact your MI if you have questions.

Subject covered:
Method of Instruction updates.
New Course outlines.
Updates policies.
Q&A period.
Impromptu Teach Backs at Master Instructor’s discretion (any subjects @ level 1).
SAFE OC Spray instructor’s class. 
Range qualifications.
   FBI (or other LE) Handgun, Carbine, Shotgun. (Run by candidates observed by MI’s). 
Dealing with challenged students.
Evaluating a student/instructor.
One handed manipulation handgun/carbine/shotgun.
Written test and oral evaluation. 

Required equipment:

• Defensive Handgun (Centerfire)
• 2  (minimum) Spare magazines
• Holster (Strongside Hip Holster) (IWB or OWB)
• Magazine Pouch
• 500 + rounds of ammunition
• 5 dummy rounds in the caliber of your defensive handgun
• Defensive Shotgun
• Sling
• 22 Slugs
• 10 Buck shot (00)
• 100 rounds bird shot 71/2-8
• 5 Dummy Rounds in the gauge of your shotgun
• Ar-15 Carbine/Rifle
• 2 (minimum) spare magazines
• Magazine pouch (NO chest rigs)
• Sling
• 100+ rounds ammunition
• 5 Dummy rounds in the caliber of your rifle
• Pens, pencils, highlighters
• Notepad
• Laptop or Tablet with USB drive (optional but highly suggested)
• USB flash drive
• Safety glasses
• Hearing protection
• Trauma IFAK (Tourniquet, IBD, Chest Seal, Gauze Practice units) These may be purchased independently, or from SAFTD.

When you complete this class you will be able to teach: Handgun FAST-1-2, Carbine FAST-1, Shotgun FAST-1, SAFE/OC spray, Method of Instruction, Range Officer.
